Dua Lipa was born 22nd august 1995, in London, the United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album titled "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. The album peaked at the number three spot in the U.K. albums chart and featured eight singles with the most notable being U.K. number one song New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards as a British female solo artist as well as British breakout act in the year 2018. Her album was certified platinum throughout the world. Dua lipa was born 22nd August 1995, in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. Her ancestors also come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Her siblings include Rina and Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by music by her father the guitarist and singer in Oda, the Kosovan rock band Oda. The family home where Lipa grew up, was one in which her father played music by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing when she was just five years old. In just her ninth year she was singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa sang Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, and If Ain't Get You by Alicia Keys. Lipa has signed Warner Bros. Records a contract in the year 2014. New Love was her debut single. New Love was released on 15 August 2015.
